FIRST CONTACT
Dear Deano,
We saw your website and it is awesome! We
were so impressed with your talents and abilities we want to fly you to
Michigan to do a show for us. The show would be for about 6 hours. We will
pay all your expenses to get here and back, plus we will cover your food and
lodging while you're here. You can perform in our two car garage. Money is
no object, so we would like it if you pulled out all the stops. Please email
us if you are interested, we look forward to your performance!

Subject: Deano when?
Date: Tue, 30 Jul 2002 22:58:34 -0700
What an amazing offer! I am always up for unusual events!
The crucial element is the date of your party, since I am extremely popular
here in the Seattle area and I am scheduled quite far in advance.
Six hours is a long time for any group of people to stay in a two-car
garage. Do you have a yard we could access as well? I have loads of things
to do, such as games, balloons, music, improvs, etc. I could also bring
some of my toys, such as tumblers, parachutes, combats, etc., but they
require more space than would fit in a garage. I also have four different
sizes of unicycles, and could bring one or two of them. For the determined
of your group I could also teach juggling and balloon twisting. Otherwise,
I could just come as Deano the Clown.
I have been flown to San Francisco twice, to Arizona several times, and
once to Canada.
Give me an idea of how many people you are expecting, their approximate
age range, and the purpose of the party. Also, if the scheduling works out,
we should definitely talk by phone to work out the details.

| We decided to try the "magician" deano this
week, and magically, this email appeared! Amazing how many deano's there are
out there who's names correspond directly with their livelihoods! |

FIRST CONTACT
Hi,
We have been looking for someone for quite some time, and I think you may
just be that someone! I saw the card trick on your website entitled "Play
Deano's Card Trick", and let me be the first to tell you I am stumped! I
have played it over 20 times and still not figured it out.
We recently read through some of the letters on your website, and we are
thoroughly impressed, to say the least. The letter from Reverand Brian R.
Roadhouse especially touched me. It seems you really have a "way" with kids.
In honor of my grandmothers 90th birthday, we would like to hold a
celebration including a magician, because grandma really enjoys magicians.
There will also be a band, so I hope this won't be a problem.
We would very much like you to come. We will fly you to Michigan, and cover
your expenses while you are here, in addition to your normal fee's. Money is
no object, we want you to pull out all the stops. Grandma won't live
forever!
We have a two car garage you can perform in. We will be having people fly in
from all over the United States, and a few relatives from Africa. So if you
are interested, the party dates will have to be permanent.
Sincerely,
Team Phil |

RESPONSE
Team Phillip,
No problem, if you can afford the fee we're there (1
meeeeeelion dollars CDN), if grandma wants the magic show, because your
right she won't live forever, grandma gets the show, I do travel with my
own live band (a one man band, he plays the accordian, he's only got one
eye but boy can he play) I don't know if the garage venue is too much for
him though he's only played single car garages (he might get all nervous &
start to sing) you don't want that to happen. Are Uncle Bob and Aunt
Myrna gonna be there from Africa, hope so.
Anyways gotta go,
the kraft dinner is burning
